Thanksgiving stuffing bread cubes from scratch.

Thanksgiving stuffing bread cubes with Battuto and Duxelles holiday blends. 

 

  • Savory Soda Bread
    • Dutch Oven
    • 3 1/2 Cups flour
    • 1 level tsp baking powder
    • 1 generous tsp of Duxelles Holiday Blend
    • 1 generous tsp of Battuto Holiday Blend
    • 1 heaping tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 1/4 cup milk
      • Pre-heat oven and dutch oven to 450 degrees
      • Mix dry ingredients together. 
      • When oven is ready mix in milk. Dough should be shaggy looking.
      • Pull out dutch oven remove lid and place a piece of parchment in pan. 
      • Put dough in dutch oven, replace lid.
      • Bake 10min at 450 with lid on
      • Bake 10 min at 375 degrees with lid on
      • Bake 20 min at 375 degrees with lid off
      • Bread should sound hollow when tapping on bottom, when done
      • Cool bread on a rack
      • Once cool cube loaf, place on baking sheet and in an oven set on lowest temp until bread is dried
      • Incorporate into stuffing
